More about working out
I've been working out for three months now with Mountain Strength Fitness doing their Outdoor Class in the mornings. They've asked me, as somebody who's been there since the beginning, to share my thoughts about what it means to get back into working out, and the ways in which the class has really helped keep my motivation levels up. I figure I've got a whole lot of posts in me about that sort of thing. The first one is on their site. and you may want to check it out.

It truly petrifies me to think about doing something like what you're doing, but I've never been successful at working out with others, or even alone. I've never felt success in that area of my life. I don't even know how to begin building the confidence and positive association enough to commit to working out, on a regular basis, when every memory and association is negative and I hate it. GR. I don't know why I'm posting this, I sorta felt like I had to.

My only real suggestion is to come try it. Meet the folks, meet the coach, learn a little bit about all of the myriad exercises, and see if you like it.

Then, if you think it might be for you, look for something near you, or commit to a really early commute to come work out with the rest of us.

If you want to try this out, I'll talk to Coach Amber about having you audit a day.

I mean, what I said about group encouragement is absolutely true. it's a pretty safe place, feelings-wise. You get a lot of encouragement, but never any kind of negative feedback.
